A large handmade valentine hangs on the wall of the Chicago Cultural Center. Illustrated with two stick figures and a big red heart, the valentine describes one man's search for love."Dear Sweetheart," it begins. "I seen my share of hard times. I have my trouble (and) pain. I often wondered when you would come and rescue me."The valentine was written by David Holt. He is 26 years old, and he has autism. He has never had a girlfriend. He only hopes for one. And so, a few years ago, he created the valentine as a kind of wish.
