It’s not surprising that weight loss has grabbed the top spot of concern for employees in 2013, but right behind it, is stress. And it turns out stress is more on workers’ radar, year over year.
In ComPsych's Tell it Now Poll, the employee assistant program provider found that 39% percent of employees say losing weight is their top health concern, while 26% say stress has them most worried.
Awareness of Stress
What caught my attention in this latest poll, is that the awareness of “stress concern” has jumped from 18% in 2012 to 26% in 2013. It’s a point that did not go unnoticed by ComPsych Chairman and CEO, Dr. Richard A. Chaifetz. The key contributing factor, he says, has been the widespread impact of the struggling economy.
